Madhur Bhandarkar receiving overwhelming support of “Indu Sarkar” against unfair censor cuts
Madhur Bhandarkar who is the director of the upcoming controversial movie “Indu Sarkar” is receiving a bundle of support from many Bollywood celebrities. The movie whcih is set to release on 28 July, 2017 in cinemas, has facing controversy from the Censor board as it is said that there should be 12 cuts and two disclaimers in the movie.
Madhur Bhandarkar got support from actors like Paresh Rawal, Ashoke Pandit, Kirti Kulhari and Tota Roy Chaudhary. This makes him happy as he tweeted,”Humbled to receive overwhelming support for ‘Indu Sarkar’ against the unfair censor cuts. This gives us the courage to make more honest films.” The film is a backdrop in the period of 1975 to 1977 during the era of “The Emergency” when the prime minister of that time Indira Gandhi declared a state of emergency all over the country.
During that period several of the opponents political members of Indira Gandhi were imprisoned and the press was censored. While in that period several human rights violations were also reported, and it is the most controversial era in the history of Independent India’s History.
